Ragyo's ultimate goal is to merge humanity with the Primordial Life Fiber, an event she orchestrates through her control of the global fiber network. In the final battle, she is confronted by Ryuko and Satsuki, who use the Rending Scissors and Senketsu to sever her connection to the Life Fibers. Ragyo is ultimately defeated when Senketsu absorbs her Life Fibers, and she falls from the orbiting Life Fiber vessel, presumed dead.

She is the mother of Satsuki and Ryuko, and the orchestrator of the global Life Fiber conspiracy. Her garment, woven from pure Life Fibers, grants her immense power and near-invulnerability. She is ultimately defeated when Ryuko, wearing Senketsu, and Satsuki, wielding the modified Junketsu, work together to sever her connection to the Life Fibers.
