Nudist Beach was founded by Isshin Matoi, Ryuko's father, who created the Kamui Senketsu as a weapon to fight the Life Fibers. The organization operates as a paramilitary group dedicated to exposing and combating the parasitic alien Life Fibers that have secretly guided human evolution. Aikuro Mikisugi, Ryuko's homeroom teacher, serves as an undercover agent for Nudist Beach, providing support and information to Ryuko throughout her journey. The group's base was located in Yokohama, and its destruction was the true objective of Satsuki Kiryuin's Tri-City Schools Raid—the raid was a secret mission to destroy Nudist Beach's base, with the annexation of three schools (Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe) serving as a cover. After the raid, Ryuko learned that her father founded Nudist Beach and created Senketsu specifically to fight the Life Fibers, which are actually parasitic aliens that prompted humanity's evolution to later feed on them. The organization worked alongside Ryuko and eventually Satsuki to storm Honnouji Academy's festival before Ragyo could awaken the Life Fibers globally.

In Their Own Story

The organization's most critical operation came when Ryuko and Nudist Beach stormed the Honnouji Academy festival held in Ragyo's honor, before she could awaken the Life Fibers to consume every human. During this assault, Satsuki betrayed her mother, revealing her true goal to destroy the Life Fibers and avenge her father and younger sister. However, Ragyo—revealed to be a human/Life Fiber hybrid—captured Satsuki and ordered the Life Fibers to consume every human. As Ragyo and the Life Fibers devastated Japan, the Elite Four and Nudist Beach rescued both Satsuki and Mako from captivity. Later, when Ryuko was brainwashed and bonded to Junketsu, Satsuki, Mako, and Senketsu managed to free her. In the final battle, everyone offered their Goku Uniforms to power up Senketsu, allowing Ryuko to pursue Ragyo into space. After Ragyo's defeat and suicide, the organization's mission was complete, and everyone could finally live a normal life free of the Life Fibers.
